China Horse Club, Maverick Racing to $275,000 for Constitution Colt

Hip 559, a colt by current leading freshman sire Constitution, sold for $275,000 during the second session of the New York Bred Yearlings sale. The chestnut colt was purchased by China Horse Club & Maverick Racing from the consignment of Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

This colt is by Constitution, sire of Sorrento S. (G2) winner Amalfi Sunrise and Sanford S. (G3) winner By Your Side already in his first crop. Hip 559 is the second foal out of the winning Super Saver mare Polly Freeze. That mare is a half-sister to champion Cheongdam Dokki, multiple graded stakes winner Gouldings Green, and stakes winner Filare l'Oro. The latter is the dam of multiple graded stakes winner Silver Dust, winner of this year's Mineshaft H. (G3) and West Virginia Governor's S. (G3) This is the immediate family of Grade 1 winner and 2018 Leading Freshman Sire Cross Traffic.

Hip 559 was bred in New York by Fred W. Hertrich lll & John D. Fielding.
