Graded Stakes Winner Stormcast Leads Latest Supplements to Kentucky Winter Mixed

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued an additional 19 entries to its upcoming Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale, to be held on Monday, February 9 in Lexington, Kentucky.

These newest entries are catalogued as hips 386-404 and include several stakes winners and a half-sibling to a recent Grade 1 winner.

Leading this latest group is Stormcast (hip 395), winner of the Bessarabian S. (G3) at Woodbine at three.  A stakes performer at two, three, and four, the five-year-old mare has career earnings of nearly $330,000.  Out of Scolara, a multiple stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed earner of nearly $460,000, she hails from the immediate family of Grade 1 winners Quiz Kid, Mining, Antonella Baby, and English Major, as well as graded stakes winners Forest Music, Kentuckian, and Electric Forest.  She is consigned as a racing/broodmare prospect by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.

  • Leo Toro (hip 398): Five-year-old daughter of Nyquist won the Ginger Punch S. at Gulfstream.  Consigned as a racing/broodmare prospect by Gainesway, agent.
