Blessed Flyer Tops May Digital Sale
The 2026 May Digital Sale closed Tuesday evening with gross sales of $2,229,500 for 69 sold. The clearance rate was 91%. The sale opened Thursday, May 7. Offerings included horses of racing age, racing/broodmare prospects, broodmares – including mares with foals at foot – two-year-olds in training, and yearlings.
Blessed Flyer (hip 1), a debut winner in maiden special weight company on April 16, sold for $270,000 to Mike Tomlinson, agent for Mark Farrar and Patricia’s Hope LLC, to top the sale. The two-year-old son of Dialed In was offered as a horse of racing age by Evergreen Equine, agent. The colt overcame adverse conditions to win his debut in a field of 10, which included stakes placed Super Saiyajin in second.
Rounding out the top five hips sold were:
- Contrary Thinking (hip 3), sold for $130,000 to Amanda Gillman, agent. The son of Into Mischief was offered as a horse of racing age by ELiTE, agent for White Birch Farm, Inc. He posted a 93 Beyer and a 13- Ragozin in his seasonal bow on April 25.
- Dreaming of Abba (hip 4), sold for $110,000 to Thiele Thoroughbreds LLC. A five-year-old daughter of Fast Anna, she was offered as a racing/broodmare prospect by Sean S. Perl Bloodstock, agent. Dreaming of Abba posted a career-best 85 Beyer finishing second in stakes company last out on April 25.
- My Lil Punky (hip 9), sold for $105,000 to H. Cruise. The multiple stakes placed daughter of Outwork was offered as a broodmare prospect by Lane’s End, agent. My Lil Punky is out of a half-sister to the dams of Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) winner Tourist and graded stakes winners Mizz Money and One Mean Man.
- Contribution (hip 88), sold for $100,000 to Clarity Thoroughbreds, agent for Katherine Neilson. The four-year-old colt by Constitution was offered as a horse of racing age by ELiTE, agent for Resolute Racing. Contribution was a winner on debut at 3 and hails from the immediate family of champions Arcangelo, Rags to Riches, and Man of Iron.
“I’m really excited about the results, especially as we had only a week from the April sale to put together this catalogue,” said Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton Director of Digital Sales. “Every segment of the market was strong, including breeding stock, and the repository was busy as well. The market is showing that there is still a huge demand for horses of all types.”
The next Digital Sale is the June Digital Sale, to be held June 25-30. Entries close June 15.
