Hip 70, a filly by Uncle Mo, sold for $700,000 at The November Sale. The bay filly was purchased by OXO Equine LLC from the consignment of Lane's End, agent.

A record-setting Leading Freshman Sire in 2015, Uncle Mo has sustained his early success, siring Grade 1 winners Mo Town, Dream Tree, and Bast since his first crop. He has sired 26 graded stakes winners from his first five crops of racing age, 50 stakes winners, three champions, and the earners of more than $42,000,000 to date. Bast, in his current crop of two-year-olds, is a multiple Grade 1 winner and recently ran a good third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. Favored Donna Veloce, also by Uncle Mo, ran second in the same race.

This filly is out of the Grade 2 winning Harlan's Holiday mare Summer Applause, a three-time graded stakes winner, Grade 1 placed earner of $781,600. She is already the dam of Ipanema Beach, a winner with earnings to date of more than $120,000. The immediate family includes Brazilian mare of the year Bandeira Nativa, Grade 2 winner Recoup the Cash, and graded stakes winner Jodi's Sweetie.
