Eclipse Champion Female Sprinter Shamrock Rose sold for $2,500,000 at The November Sale. She was purchased as a broodmare prospect by Mike Shannon, agent from the consignment of Bluewater Sales, agent. She was offered as Hip 178.

A four-year-old daughter of First Dude, Shamrock Rose won the Ontario Debutante S. and was graded stakes placed at two. At three, she won the Malvern Rose S. and La Lorgnette S., then returned to graded stakes company in style, charging to an impressive victory in the Raven Run S. (G2). She returned three weeks later to contest the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint, surmounting the odds to score a scintillating victory over a field that included concurrent or subsequent Grade 1 winners Marley's Freedom, Finley'sluckycharm, and Mia Mischief, as well as top sprinters Skye Diamonds and Selcourt.

Shamrock Rose made 13 starts, with five wins, two seconds, and two thirds for earnings of $968,962. She was campaigned by owner Conrad Farms and trainer Mark Casse.

Shamrock Rose is a half-sister to four other winners out of the Elusive Quality mare Slew's Quality, a half-sister to multiple group stakes winner Slew the Red. This is the immediate family of Horse of the Year Lady's Secret, champions Mahbooba and Believe (JPN), and legendary racemare Great Lady M,  who went on to produce no less than 12 winners from 14 foals, including Lady's Secret.
