Hunter Valley Farm to $2,100,000 for Separationofpowers

Separationofpowers, a multiple Grade 1 winner by Candy Ride (ARG), sold for $2,100,000 at The November Sale. The bay filly was purchased by Hunter Valley Farm from the consignment of ELiTE, agent. The broodmare prospect was offered as Hip 177.

Separationofpowers is the only filly of her crop to win Grade 1 stakes at two and three. At two, she won her maiden by 11 3/4 lengths first time out, then captured the Frizette S. (G1) by 3 1/2 lengths over next out Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) winner and eventual Eclipse Champion Two-Year-Old Filly Caledonia Road. At three, she won the prestigious Test S. (G1) at Saratoga over subsequent Grade 1 winner Mia Mischief, who sold for $2,400,000 earlier this evening. This year at four, she scored an easy 4 3/4 length victory in the Bed o' Roses Invitational S. (G3).

In 10 career starts, Separationofpowers won four times, and earned $964,000. She was campaigned by owner Klaravich Stables and trainer Chad Brown.

Separationofpowers the Empire Maker mare Shehadmefromhello, dam of five foals from five to race. Separationofpowers is a half-sister to juvenile stakes winner Empire of War. Second dam is multiple stakes winner Lasting Code, dam of stakes winner Fusa Code and of the dam of graded stakes winner Bent On Bourbon.
