Dam of SWEET MELANIA Headlines Latest November Sale Entries

SWEET N DISCREET, dam of recent Jessamine S. (G2) winner SWEET MELANIA, is among the three newest supplemental entries to the Fasig-Tipton November Sale. 

These newest entries are catalogued as hips 215-217:

  • '19 MALIBU MOON-WIN MCCOOL COLT (Hip 215): Son of MALIBU MOON is out of graded stakes winner WIN MCCOOL.  He is a half-brother to graded stakes placed COOL BEANS, as well as to the dam of G1 winner MAGNUM MOON, also by MALIBU MOON. His immediate family also includes G1 winner HARMONY LODGE, as well as graded stakes winners WIN CRAFTY LADY, GRAEME HALL, STRATFORD HILL, FIRST PASSAGE, and BERNED.  Consigned by Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency, agent.
  • SWEET N DISCREET (Hip 216): Stakes winning and graded stakes placed mare is the dam of two winners with her first two foals, including recent graded stakes winning two-year-old SWEET MELANIA.  SWEET MELANIA took the Jessamine S. (G2) at Keeneland on October 9 by five-plus lengths, winning wire-to-wire, and will make her next start in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1).  SWEET N DISCREET is a full sister to G2 winner and G1 placed DISCREET DANCER, and a half-sister to G2 winner TRAVELIN MAN.  Her immediate female family includes European Champions DUKE OF MARMALADE (IRE) and RULER OF THE WORLD (IRE), as well as Classic Winner and leading sire A. P. INDY.  Offered in foal to exciting young sire LIAM'S MAP, already with two G1 winners in his first crop of two-year-olds this year.  SWEET N DISCREET will be consigned by Lane's End, agent.
  • '19 KEEN ICE-BOURBONESQUE COLT (Hip 217): Weanling colt is a half-brother to MONGOLIAN GROOM, who recently defeated MCKINZIE in the Awesome Again S. (G1) at Santa Anita.  MONGOLIAN GROOM will make his next anticipated start in the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1).  This colt is from the first crop of KEEN ICE, a son of CURLIN that captured the Travers S. (G1), defeating AMERICAN PHAROAH and FROSTED, on his way to career earnings of $3.4 million.  Consigned by Equus Farm, agent.

Fasig-Tipton will continue to accept approved supplemental entries up until the Breeders' Cup.

The November Sale will be held on Tuesday, November 5, in Lexington, Kentucky, beginning at 3 pm.
