A filly by PIONEEROF THE NILE, sire of Triple Crown winner AMERICAN PHAROAH, sold for $200,000 during the third session of The October Sale. Offered as Hip 909, the dark bay or brown filly was purchased by Shepherd Equine Advisors, agent for Sanders & Hirsch from the consignment of Hunter Valley Farm, agent.

This filly is the second foal out of MILANIA, a winning daughter of BERNARDINI out of multiple Grade 1 winning millionaire KEEPER HILL. That mare, winner of the 1998 Kentucky Oaks (G1), is also the dam of graded stakes winner KEEP UP. The immediate family also includes Grade 1 winner and breed-shaping sire FAPPIANO, Grade 1 winner and millionaire CLABBER GIRL, and Grade 1 winner TORRENTIAL.

Hip 909 was bred in Kentucky.
