West to $225,000 for First Crop Filly by Liam's Map

A filly from the first crop of track record setting Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) winner LIAM’S MAP sold for $225,000 during the second session of The October Sale. Offered as Hip 691, the gray or roan filly was purchased by West Bloodstock, agent for Robert and Lawana Low. from the consignment of Lane’s End, agent.

This is the first foal out of I’LL SHOW ME, a BERNARDINI half-sister to five winners, including champion PROUD SPELL and to multiple stakes winner NO DISTORTSION. PROUD SPELL, winner of the 2008 Kentucky Oaks (G1) and that year’s Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Filly, won seven of 13 career starts and earned more than $2,000,000. She is the dam of stakes winner INDIAN SPELL, herself the dam of stakes winner DAK ATTACK, and of stakes placed winner ETRUSCAN.

The immediate family also includes Grade 1 winners IMAGINARY LADY and J P’s GUSTO, as well as multiple champion and Grade 2 winner MISS MISCHIEF.

Hip 691 was bred in Kentucky by Baumann Stables, Dr. Aaron Sones, and Dr. Crawford.
