Tapit Colt Takes the Lead at The October Sale

A colt by three-time leading sire TAPIT sold for $430,000 to take the lead at The October Sale late Thursday morning. Offered as Hip 1171, the gray or roan colt was purchased by Kenneth McPeek, agent from the consignment of Gainesway, agent.

This colt is a half-brother to four winners, including multiple Grade 1 winner and millionaire PALACE. PALACE, whose first foals are yearlings of 2018, counts the Forego S. (G1) and Alfred G. Vanderbilt H. (G1) among his 12 career wins, and retired with earnings of $1,586,550. Dam RECEIVERSHIP, by END SWEEP, is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner FRENCH PARK, who is in turn the dam of graded stakes winner GENRE.

Hip 1171 was bred in Kentucky by Gainesway.
