Quality Road Colt to OXO Equine for $450,000

A weanling colt by QUALITY ROAD, current leading general sire by Grade 1 winners, sold for $450,000 early at The November Sale. Offered as Hip 22, the bay colt was purchased by OXO Equine from the consignment of Bluewater Sales, agent.  QUALITY ROAD is enjoying his best year at stud to date, with five Grade 1 winners in 2018 alone, including Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile winner CITY OF LIGHT.

Hip 22 is the first foal out of SKYLAR’S PASS, an unraced THE FACTOR half-sister to graded stakes winner PROCEED BEE, a 20-time winner who earned more than $800,000. This is the immediate family of Grade 1 winning millionaires GOODBYE HALO and VAL’S PRINCE, and Grade/Group 1 winners SQUANDER and VILLAGE KING (ARG).

The colt was bred in Kentucky by Breeze Easy.
