Mike Watchmaker Analysis
Four-year-old filly by Arch began her career last summer in tough spots at Churchill Downs and Saratoga, where she showed some potential on the turf in two starts. But she came to hand in her most recent outings, winning two of her last three starts. She was a much-the-best maiden winner on the synthetic surface at Turfway Park in her final start of 2012, spread-eagling a 12-horse field going a mile. Two starts later, she showed she can be very effective on various surfaces when she proved best in a first-level allowance route on the dirt main track at Oaklawn Park, showing the same positional speed she demonstrated in her maiden tally before scoring. Her first dam is by Seeking the Gold, her second dam is by A.P. Indy, her third dam is by Deputy Minister, and hails from a family that includes Deputation, Manoa, Carriage Trail, and Forest Trail.
