Hip 498, a colt by Quality Road, sold for $560,000 during the second session of the Kentucky October Yearlings sale. The bay colt was purchased by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners from the consignment of Anderson Farms, agent.

Quality Road is the sire of top colts such as Breeders' Cup champion and Pegasus World Cup (G1) winner City of Light and Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Roadster, as well as Grade 1 winning juveniles Hootenany and Klimt.

This colt is out of the stakes placed Bernardini mare Pearl Turn, making him a half-brother to Gretzky the Great (Nyquist), runaway winner of the Summer S. (G1) at Woodbine this year at two. Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, with Gary Barber, own Gretzky the Great, who is also a graduate of the Kentucky October Yearlings sale bred and offered by Anderson Farms. The immediate family includes Grade 1 winner Love Theway You are, as well as Grade 2 winners Saint Anddan and Tower of Texas.

Hip 498 was bred in Ontario by Anderson Farms Ontario.
