Hip 38, a filly by Curlin, sold for $725,000 during the first session of The Saratoga Sale. The chestnut filly was purchased by Live Oak Plantation from the consignment of Blake-Albina Thoroughbred Services, agent.

By the sire off of fillies like champion Stellar Wind and Grade 1 winner Curalina, his filly is out of the Indian Charlie mare Kateri. That mare is a daughter of graded stakes winner Sue's Good News, making her a half-sister to Grade 1 winning millionaire Tiz Miz Sue (G1-Ogden Phipps H., etc.) and 2018 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint winner Bulletin.  Kateri is also a half-sister to Tiz News dam of stakes winning juvenile Made Me Shiver. The immediate family include champion Cozzene and Grade/Group 1 winners Seraoe, Hawk Bill, and Free Drop Billy.

Hip 38 is a March foal bred in Kentucky by Newtown Anner Stud.
