First Crop Frosted Colt to Casse for $275,000

Hip 158, a colt from the first crop of multiple Grade 1 winner Frosted, sold for $275,000 at The July Sale. The bay colt was purchased by Justin Casse, agent from the consignment of Lane's End, agent.

By three-time Grade 1 winner Frosted, this colt is the first foal out of the winning Candy Ride (ARG) mare Candy Crush. That mare is out of Lady Melesi, a track record-setting stakes winner, Grade 1 placed, who is also the dam of eight other winners, including Cardinal H. (G3) winner English Affair and stakes winners Seruni and Roman Emperor. The immediate family includes Champion racehorse and Broodmare of the Year Relaxing, dam of Champion and Classic winner Easy Goer; Grade 1 winners Easy Now and Cadillacing; and the dams of Grade 1 winner Strolling Along and Grade 2 winner Cat Cay.

Hip 158 was bred in Kentucky by G. Watts Humphrey Jr.
